Proxy Servers and Auto Update
Question:
How can I use a Proxy Server with LECTURNITY Auto Update?
Solution:
LECTURNITY Auto Update automatically uses the settings of the Microsoft Internet Explorer. If the Internet Explorer's Proxy Settings are correct, the Auto Update feature works without problems using a Proxy Server.
Auto Update hangs, Internet Explorer does not work
Question:
Why does the LECTURNITY Auto Update feature hang? It does not matter if it is called automatically from a LECTURNITY application or manually from the "LECTURNITY Auto Update Configuration" tool. My Internet Explorer does not work either; I cannot use the Internet Explorer for browsing the internet.
The LECTURNITY Auto Update feature uses standard Windows functions for downloading update information from the internet. These functions use the Internet Explorer settings by default. If the Internet Explorer is not correctly configured, then the Auto Update feature will not work either.
Solution:
Configure the Internet Explorer so that you can use it to browse the internet. If you are able to browse the imc AG homepage, www.im-c.de, LECTURNITY Auto Update should work, too.
Problems after cancelling uninstallation
Question:
After I have cancelled the uninstallation of LECTURNITY, the PowerPoint import function does not work anymore (the menu entries are inactive, grayed out). Also the LECTURNITY Editor is not able to import any documents anymore. It only says that it cannot read the audio file. This is due to the fact that after cancelling the uninstallation process, the Windows Installer does not reregister some needed files with the system.
Solution:
Uninstall LECTURNITY completely and install it anew.
